We pause on this very special day of remembrance to recall our visit to two hallowed grounds: Arlington National Cemetery and Washington, DC’s Congressional Cemetery.
Sunday, March 25th, 2012 was cloudy and cool with scattered moments of sunshine, appropriate weather for visiting these special places. We arrived at Congressional Cemetery mid-morning and made our way to Arlington National Cemetery during the afternoon. We found geocaches at both cemeteries (traditonal at Congressional and virtual at Arlington) but as we’ve seen before, this pastime at its best can be a doorway to much more profound and moving experiences — moments that are beyond words.
